We annually try to have a nice getaway or an International trip with the whole family. This year we hit the road within the UAE and head to Ras Al Khaimah.
I have checked out multiple Rotana hotels from around, but I am really in love with The Cove Rotana Resort, Ras Al Khaimah. Whether it comes to having your own private villa, a 180 degrees view overlooking the beach/ lake, or the majestic infinity pool; this Resort gave its best to have an escape within miles from home. Last weekend, we got to experience a 2 days staycation and the feel of a Mediterranean island at UAE’s own heavenly oasis by the shore.
Getting here is just a little above an hour’s drive from Dubai. Through a discrete entrance, up a hill and through a traditional archway you will be greeted with the grand views of the Arabian Gulf before you. The vibe is very luxurious yet traditional around the resort. Almost as you feel the privacy around an island at Maldives, where you can walk from your villa to various spots of the resort or the beach (you can opt for a buggy ride as well). The ambiance filled with swaying palm trees, clear blue beach, salty breeze, soft beach sand, romantic sunrises and sunsets, and earthy tones villas.
The cozy element about the stay was the villa having such interesting levels of the areas like the kitchen right in-front of the entrance which also has a nice high platform giving the feel of overlooking a bar top from the adjacent living space. The rooms too are breathable with great closet space and a huge mirror which I loved the most! The terrace private plunge pool would be the show stopper of this stay, with the views of the lagoon and the beach, accessible through the bedroom and the living room.
Overall, I love how the villas are designed to be family-friendly and perfect for groups of friends or family getaways.
