Be it a honeymoon destination or just a getaway with your girlfriend/ boyfriend, Maldives is a heaven land in the middle of nowhere giving the perfect romantic vibe and privacy. There are multiple Resorts islands around in Maldives and it is really hard to determine the best resort but I guess at the end of the day all the islands consist of fabulous hotels are suitable for a worthy trip to Maldives, depending on your budget.
We stayed at the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa experiencing both beach view villa and the water villa. Before giving you recommendations whether to choose a beach villa or an overwater villa I have to admit that I still don’t know myself what I prefer. The Beach Villas are so spacious and with a really nice patio/ balcony (depending if you are on the ground floor or the first floor) that when I moved to the overwater villa which normally has my preference I was in doubt. The water villas are spacious as well with a really nice bathroom overlooking the waters and direct access to the open deck, but so different from the beach villas. The water villas are so iconic to a holiday in Maldives, but in fact the beach villas are even more luxurious if you ask me and more suitable for a honeymoon in Maldives. I think you should just do the same and book both during you stay to experience the charm of them both in its own ways.
To have the perfect date on a trip that can only surprise you to get better, is their on request special Lagoon Lunch experience, where the menu is designed based on your choice of cuisine and table set right between the water. The experience of dining with your feet dipped into the water and sipping your favorite cocktail along with your best company, is something you surely don’t want to miss out on!
The best to kick of day 1 would be Strolling around the islands as it helps to get the feel of the whole place, explore the activities available and check out the little shops and also their F&B options. Everyone always seems to be in a good mood: staff and guests. Stay at Maldives is so relaxed and laid-back, This is what I call stress-free life!
